Celebrating 50+ Years of Music and Memories!
If you missed last weekend at Twin Oaks Park, you missed an awesome weekend! When the first band hit the stage, my phone blew up and it did not stop there! Wonderful talent and we could not have asked for any more perfect weather. Daddy would have been so happy.
I received so many compliments that I certainly did not deserve so I wanted to give credit and thanks to the many people who help make this happen.
First were the many compliments about the grounds. I want to thank Jonathan McMillan, Darrell Lankford, and Ira Lee Crawford for that. The grass was freshly mowed, weed-eated, and limbs were picked up. They worked really hard and I certainly appreciate it!
Next was the restrooms. My neighbor, Josephine Spikes helps me a lot and she was responsible for checking the bathrooms, along with Jonathan and Brent for maintaining the men’s during the show. Mama would have been proud. She always wanted to make sure the bathrooms were clean. So many people said that the restrooms were spotless. That meant a lot to me so thank you to Jo, Jonanthan, and Brent for that.
I also had many people compliment me about the bands. Thank you, Jo Odom, for recommending some new groups. You will be seeing them again in the future.
And of course, we have the best sound man in this part of the country! Thank you, Jerry Hester. Special thanks to the hard-working crew in the concession stand. People tell me we have the best hamburgers they ever ate!
As you can tell, the website has been updated and we are already getting ready for September. Check back often for updates on our Twin Oaks Bluegrass Park and Campground Facebook page. See you in September!
