Celebrating 50 Years of Music and Memories!
Well, here we are. Fifty years of music and memories at Twin Oaks Park in Hoboken, Georgia! Daddy certainly had a vision but even he had no idea of what it would grow into. There was never a doubt in his mind that Twin Oaks would still be going strong at 50 years, but we all assumed he would still be here to see this day. I just know how happy and proud he would be. We think about him and miss him every day.
For this year’s lineup of talent, we are reflecting on the history of the music and memories. Betty Sibley started coming here years ago with her parents. The Golden Valley Crusaders have been singing and traveling for 50 years. George Wells started coming when Daddy first started. A Deeper Shade of Blue has been with us for many years and seem like family. Rekindled Bits of Grass also have a long history with Twin Oaks. Doug Flowers and I picked together back in the 70s when I was pickin with Daddy and he was traveling with Betty Fisher in Lawtey! And then those Cotton Pickin Kids! A true vision of the future 50 years of bluegrass with our youth.
We certainly hope you can join us as we celebrate 50 Years of Music and Memories at Twin Oaks Park! See you soon!
